Classic Legends to Launch Four New Motorcycles Under Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA Brands

Jawa new launch 2025

Mumbai, June 5, 2025 — Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra, has announced plans to launch four new motorcycles under its renowned brands—Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA—within the current financial year. The move marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to expand its presence in the mid-size motorcycle segment, both in India and international markets.

According to a statement from the company, the new motorcycles will cater to the growing demand for retro-styled bikes equipped with modern features. Each of the three brands will contribute to the new lineup, offering a variety of models including cruisers, roadsters, and scramblers. The upcoming launches are expected to blend the iconic styling of the legacy brands with contemporary engineering and compliance with current emission norms.

Industry insiders suggest that Jawa could introduce a new cruiser to complement its existing 42 and Perak models. Yezdi, which recently made a comeback with models like the Roadster and Adventure, is likely to reintroduce a modern version of the classic Roadking. BSA, which made headlines in the UK with the launch of the new BSA Gold Star, may also unveil a refreshed version for the Indian market.

The announcement comes at a time when demand for heritage-inspired motorcycles is on the rise. Brands like Royal Enfield have seen continued success in this category, prompting competitors like Classic Legends to strengthen their product portfolios.

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, emphasized the company’s vision to revive and modernize iconic motorcycle brands. “Our goal is not only to bring back legends of the past but to reimagine them for a new generation of riders,” Mahindra said during a recent shareholder address.

In addition to new product launches, Classic Legends is expected to focus on expanding its dealership network and enhancing after-sales services. The company has faced criticism in the past for limited service support and spare parts availability—areas it now aims to improve significantly.

Market analysts believe the success of the new motorcycles will depend on their performance, reliability, and pricing. With competition intensifying in the mid-size retro motorcycle space, Classic Legends will need to deliver strong value propositions to capture a larger market share.

The company has not yet revealed the exact launch dates or specifications of the upcoming models. However, all four bikes are expected to be unveiled before March 2026, in line with the company’s financial year target.

The launch of these motorcycles is anticipated to further energize the mid-size segment and reinforce Classic Legends’ position as a key player in the retro-modern motorcycle market.
