According to an official communication released by the company, the accounts were deactivated following the detection of unusual activity, including the dissemination of spam, impersonation of legitimate users, and circulation of malicious links. The action was undertaken as part of Microsoft’s broader strategy to strengthen its cybersecurity framework and protect user data.
A spokesperson for Microsoft stated, “We take the protection of our users seriously. The suspended accounts were found to be in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy and posed significant risks to our platform’s integrity.”
