In a groundbreaking achievement for India’s digital creator community, Prajakta Koli, known widely by her online persona MostlySane, has earned a coveted spot on the TIME100 Creators List for 2025. She is the first Indian ever to be featured on this prestigious global list, which celebrates the most impactful digital creators shaping modern culture and conversation.
Prajakta began her content journey in 2015 through relatable and humorous YouTube videos. Over the years, she has transitioned from a comedy vlogger to a multi-platform personality—excelling in acting, advocacy, and online storytelling. Her content, known for its authenticity and humor, resonates deeply with young audiences in India and across the globe.
With over 7 million subscribers on YouTube and a strong following on platforms like Instagram and X, Koli has become a prominent voice in India’s creator economy. But her influence goes far beyond numbers. She has used her platform to speak up about key issues like mental health, gender equality, and education.
Her global recognition by TIME not only honors her digital success but also acknowledges her efforts in driving social change. Koli has worked closely with initiatives such as YouTube Creators for Change and has served as a UNDP India Youth Climate Champion, using her reach to encourage meaningful dialogue and awareness.
Reacting to the honor, Koli shared her excitement and humility: “Being included in TIME100 is surreal. I hope it inspires more creators from South Asia to aim globally and speak their truth.”
Industry voices have welcomed this recognition as a breakthrough for Indian content creators. According to digital media consultant Anisha Sharma, “Prajakta’s inclusion proves that Indian voices are now central to global narratives in digital media. It opens doors for many more.”
