September 2025: Samsung Electronics is aiming to surpass the 100 million sales mark for its Galaxy A series smartphones in India by December 2025. The series, launched in 2019, has already sold an estimated 96 million units as of June 2025, establishing itself as a leading mid-range smartphone line in the country.
To achieve this milestone, Samsung has expanded its Galaxy A lineup with the introduction of the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 models. These smartphones are produced locally under India’s “Make in India” initiative, helping the company maintain competitive prices for domestic buyers.
The new models feature advanced specifications, including triple-camera systems with 50MP main sensors, AI enhancements, and water and dust resistance. The Galaxy A56 is powered by the Exynos 1580 processor, while the A36 runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform. Prices for these models range between ₹32,999 and ₹44,999.
Samsung is also integrating artificial intelligence features to appeal to consumers seeking smarter functionality at mid-range prices. Analysts expect the upcoming festive season to further boost sales, as consumer spending on electronics traditionally rises during this period.
The Galaxy A series has consistently dominated India’s mid-range segment, particularly in the ₹25,000–₹50,000 bracket. Experts say the combination of local production, competitive pricing, and innovative technology positions Samsung to achieve its ambitious 100 million sales goal by the end of 2025.
With a strengthened product portfolio and a focus on customer-centric features, Samsung continues to reinforce its leadership in India’s highly competitive smartphone market.
