New Delhi, June 8:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday underscored the sweeping changes India has undergone over the past 11 years, citing advancements across infrastructure, technology, economic policy, and social welfare. Speaking at a public gathering, the Prime Minister reflected on the progress achieved since his administration first came to power in 2014.

Modi emphasized that the progress witnessed was not coincidental but the result of long-term vision and consistent governance. “India’s journey over the last decade reflects determination, reform-oriented policies, and a commitment to inclusive development,” he stated.

The Prime Minister drew attention to the country’s digital transformation, citing the widespread adoption of online platforms, digital transactions, and e-governance. Initiatives such as Digital India, the expansion of Aadhaar, and the success of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) have strengthened transparency and accessibility in public services, he said.

India’s economic resilience and global growth have also been a highlight of the past decade. Modi pointed to initiatives like Make in India, Startup India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat, which have collectively boosted domestic production, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He noted a significant uptick in foreign investment and the rise of India as a competitive manufacturing hub.

Infrastructure development remains a cornerstone of the government’s achievements. The Prime Minister highlighted progress in national highway construction, port modernization, airport expansion, and green energy adoption. Projects such as Bharatmala and Sagarmala have enhanced connectivity and logistics efficiency across the country.

In rural India, the government’s efforts have translated into improved living standards. Modi cited the Jal Jeevan Mission, which has delivered piped water connections to over 100 million households, and praised welfare schemes like Ujjwala Yojana and PM Awas Yojana for their positive social impact.

The healthcare sector has also seen significant reforms. Under the Ayushman Bharat program, over 500 million people have gained access to health insurance, making it one of the largest such schemes globally. Modi also highlighted the nation’s successful management of the COVID-19 pandemic, including vaccination drives and health infrastructure enhancement.

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister called on citizens to stay focused on the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047, marking 100 years of independence. “Our progress in these 11 years is only a foundation. We must now build a stronger, self-reliant, and inclusive future,” he said.
