Shubhanshu Shukla, one of the astronauts aboard the Axiom-4 mission, successfully returned to Earth on Tuesday following an 18-day scientific expedition on the International Space Station (ISS). The mission concluded with a safe splashdown in the Pacific Ocean near San Diego, marking a significant achievement in the growing field of private space travel.
After landing, Shukla and his fellow crewmates underwent a short medical check and quarantine, as per standard post-mission protocol. He later reunited with his wife and young son, in an emotional moment that was closely followed by well-wishers and media alike.
