August 14,2025: The much-anticipated Bigg Boss 19 will begin on August 24, 2025, bringing a unique political-inspired format to the long-running reality series. Hosted initially by Salman Khan, the show will follow the “Gharwalon ki Sarkaar” concept, where housemates take on governance-style roles, making collective decisions and competing for authority within the house.
The makers have introduced a digital-first approach for the season’s release. New episodes will be available to stream on JioHotstar at 9:00 PM IST, ahead of their television broadcast on Colors TV at 10:30 PM IST. Additionally, a 24/7 live feed from the house will be accessible to OTT subscribers, allowing fans to follow every development in real time.
In another first, the audience will influence the contestant lineup through the “Fans Ka Faisla” voting initiative. Viewers can choose between Shehbaz Badesha and Mridul Tiwari, with voting open until August 21. The winner of this poll will join the main group of housemates.
This season is set to be the longest yet, running for about five months—significantly longer than previous editions. Hosting duties will be shared, with Salman Khan leading the initial months before passing the baton to Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor at different stages of the show.
The house will also feature an Assembly Room, modeled after a parliamentary chamber, to encourage discussions, debates, and strategic alliances among the contestants.
While the official list of participants is still under wraps, industry chatter points to possible entries from television, digital, and music backgrounds, including Paras Kalnawat, Purav Jha, Khushi Dubey, Apoorva Mukhija, Hunar Hali, Gaurav Khanna, Payal Gamingg, Arbaz Patel, and rap duo Seedhe Maut.
Producers are confident that the combination of a political theme, extended schedule, and increased viewer interaction will make Bigg Boss 19 one of the most engaging seasons in the franchise’s history.
