A mid-air security incident occurred on Monday when a passenger aboard Air India Express flight IX-1086, traveling from Bengaluru to Varanasi, attempted to open the cockpit door, mistaking it for the lavatory. The flight departed from Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, at 8:00 AM, bound for Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi.
