Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday unveiled a monumental 77-foot bronze statue of Lord Ram at the historic Shree Samsthan Gokarn Jeevottam Mutt in Partagali, South Goa. The towering structure, crafted by celebrated sculptor Ram Sutar, is now recognised as the tallest statue of Lord Ram in the world, marking a significant moment in India’s ongoing cultural and spiritual renaissance.
The unveiling took place as part of the Mutt’s grand 550th-year celebrations, drawing thousands of devotees, cultural enthusiasts and dignitaries. Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister described the statue as a symbol of India’s enduring spiritual heritage and collective cultural pride.
A Landmark in India’s Spiritual Landscape
The Shree Samsthan Gokarn Jeevottam Mutt, one of the country’s oldest and most revered monastic institutions, has been a centre of spiritual learning for centuries.
