The Monsoon Session of Parliament commenced today with the swearing-in of five newly elected members to the Rajya Sabha. The session began on a solemn note, as the Upper House paid tribute to the victims of two recent national tragedies—the terror attack in Pahalgam and the Air India Express crash.
Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar administered the oath of office to the new members, officially welcoming them into the Upper House. The induction of these members is expected to play a crucial role in shaping legislative debates in the current session.
