RCB Fans Celebrate Across Cities After Historic IPL Title Win

RCB fans celebration 2025

Bengaluru/Hyderabad, June 4, 2025 — Streets in Bengaluru and Hyderabad turned into celebration zones on Tuesday night as Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) claimed their first-ever IPL title, ending an 18-year wait that spanned the entire history of the Indian Premier League.

RCB defeated Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2025 final, held at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, securing victory by 8 runs. The emotional win triggered massive fan celebrations in multiple cities, with Bengaluru at the heart of the revelry.

Supporters poured into key city areas such as MG Road and Cubbon Park, waving team flags and shouting the long-held slogan “Ee Sala Cup Namde.” An official victory parade followed on Wednesday, where players greeted thousands of fans from atop an open-deck bus.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis, addressing the crowd, said, “This moment belongs to the fans. Their loyalty over the years has meant everything to us.”

In Hyderabad, fan clubs and local cricket enthusiasts also gathered for celebrations, reflecting RCB’s nationwide following — largely driven by the presence of Virat Kohli, a long-time icon of the franchise.

Kohli, a part of the team since its inception, was visibly moved after the final. “It’s been a long journey. Finally, we can give the fans what they’ve waited so long for,” he said during the post-match presentation.

RCB scored 179/6 in the final, with strong performances from Rajat Patidar and Dinesh Karthik. Rajasthan Royals came close but were restricted in the final overs, falling short despite Jos Buttler’s determined innings.

The victory officially ends RCB’s reputation as the most popular IPL team never to win a title. With this win, the franchise becomes the eighth team to lift the IPL trophy.

This championship is seen as a milestone not just for RCB but for the league itself, marking the end of one of the longest-running title droughts in professional T20 cricket. For many fans, players, and the city of Bengaluru, it is a moment that will be remembered for generations.
