Spectacular Drone Show at Pune’s SP College Rescheduled to September 17 Due to Rain Forecast

A major drone-light display planned at SP College in Pune, originally scheduled for Monday evening, has been shifted to Tuesday, September 17, because of heavy showers and a poor weather forecast. Organisers say the event will still go ahead with its full programme once conditions improve.

Event Overview
The show, titled “Jyotine Tejachi Aarti”, is being held as part of the celebrations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday. It will feature roughly a thousand synchronised drones creating light formations representing cultural icons of Pune and milestones from the Prime Minister’s tenure.

Revised Schedule
According to city officials, the concert portion will run from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, followed by the 45-minute drone display at the SP College grounds. Entry is free and is expected to draw a large crowd.

Reason for Change
Local authorities announced the postponement after overnight rains left parts of the venue waterlogged and forecasts predicted more precipitation. Safety checks for drones also require calm weather to avoid mishaps.

What to Expect
Organisers have promised a “once-in-a-lifetime” visual experience with formations of historical landmarks, portraits and slogans in the sky. Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol said the display is designed to showcase both Pune’s heritage and government initiatives.

Conclusion

Despite a one-day delay, Pune residents can still look forward to a unique high-tech light show at SP College on September 17, combining entertainment with a message of civic pride.
