July 23, 2025: In an effort to improve crowd management and provide faster access to darshan, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has inaugurated a separate SRIVANI Darshan ticket centre at Tirumala. This new facility is designed to serve devotees contributing to the Sri Venkateswara Alaya Nirmana (SRIVANI) Trust, who are eligible for special VIP break darshan.
Positioned near the Vaikuntam Queue Complex-1 (VQC-1), the centre is equipped with digital infrastructure and multiple counters to reduce waiting time and eliminate long queues. The SRIVANI scheme, which allows donors contributing ₹10,000 or more to receive a one-time break darshan of Lord Venkateswara, has witnessed a steady rise in participation, prompting the need for a dedicated counter.
Speaking at the launch, TTD Executive Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy emphasized the significance of the new facility. “This dedicated SRIVANI counter is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth and respectful pilgrimage for every devotee. The increased demand for SRIVANI tickets required a more efficient and organized system,” he said.
The newly established centre features biometric verification, token-based entry, and real-time updates to ensure orderly movement. Officials estimate that the centre will accommodate over 5,000 SRIVANI devotees daily, especially during peak seasons when footfall at Tirumala can exceed two lakh pilgrims per day.
In addition to the offline facility, the ticket centre has been linked to TTD’s official online booking portal. Devotees can now pre-book their SRIVANI tickets digitally and validate them at the counter using QR codes, minimizing manual processing and saving time.
TTD officials also revealed plans to expand similar services to other key access points such as Alipiri and Tirupati, depending on the response to this initiative. These developments are part of a broader strategy to integrate digital tools into temple management while preserving the sanctity and traditions of the holy site.
The SRIVANI Trust was established to raise funds for the construction and maintenance of temples across India. The one-time VIP break darshan offered to donors has grown in popularity, making it an essential part of Tirumala’s pilgrimage management system.
With the launch of this dedicated counter, TTD aims to enhance the overall experience for pilgrims, ensuring faster access, better crowd regulation, and an improved devotional atmosphere at one of the country’s most sacred temples.
