The Jammu & Kashmir government was honoured as a “Top Achiever” at the Udyog Samagam 2025 in New Delhi, in recognition of its outstanding performance under the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2024. The award was presented to Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary of the Industries & Commerce Department, by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. BRAP 2024 assessed all states and union territories across 25 reform areas and 434 reform points, incorporating feedback from over 5.8 lakh businesses and more than 1.3 lakh detailed interviews.
Jammu & Kashmir secured the 5th rank among all states and UTs, achieving top scores in four out of five key reform categories—a performance that earned it the “Top Achiever” distinction.
