NDA Unveils Bihar Election Manifesto: Promises 1 Crore Government Jobs and Major Infrastructure Push

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has officially released its manifesto for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections, outlining a comprehensive plan focused on job creation, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment. The alliance, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United), has placed economic revival and employment generation at the center of its campaign narrative, pledging to provide 1 crore government jobs over the next five years.

The manifesto emphasizes large-scale public sector recruitment as part of the NDA’s strategy to strengthen Bihar’s administrative framework and reduce migration by creating employment within the state. Party leaders described the commitment as both ambitious and practical, citing Bihar’s growing potential in sectors such as education, health, and digital services.

In his address during the launch, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar highlighted the alliance’s vision to transform Bihar into a hub of skilled labor and innovation. He reaffirmed that the government’s focus would extend beyond job creation to include improved training and educational facilities. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary added that the NDA government aims to implement transparent recruitment processes and enhance job security through long-term employment policies.

Infrastructure development has emerged as another major highlight of the manifesto. The NDA promises a multi-billion-rupee investment in roads, railways, bridges, and smart city projects across the state. Plans also include the expansion of industrial corridors, upgraded connectivity in rural regions, and modernization of urban transport systems. Party officials assert that these initiatives will accelerate Bihar’s economic growth and attract domestic and international investments.

The manifesto also outlines new welfare schemes targeting women and youth. Under the proposed framework, special emphasis will be placed on empowering women through self-help groups, entrepreneurship programs, and financial inclusion. The alliance further promised to increase scholarships for students and promote start-ups through state-backed funding and incubation programs.

Political analysts suggest that this manifesto reflects a strategic attempt by the NDA to consolidate its voter base by addressing long-standing issues such as unemployment, poor infrastructure, and limited industrialization. The focus on government jobs and large-scale projects, they note, could resonate strongly with Bihar’s young electorate, which forms a significant portion of the state’s population.

As election campaigns gain momentum, the NDA’s promises will likely face scrutiny from opposition parties, particularly the Mahagathbandhan, which has criticized the ruling alliance for unfulfilled pledges in the past. However, the NDA maintains that its previous tenure laid the foundation for the progress Bihar now stands to accelerate.

With the Bihar elections approaching, the NDA’s manifesto sets the stage for a high-stakes political battle where economic growth, employment, and infrastructure will be key deciding factors for voters.
