Two Indian Army soldiers have gone missing in the dense forests of Anantnag district in South Kashmir, triggering a massive search and rescue operation by security forces. The incident has heightened tension in the region, which has witnessed frequent militant activities in recent months.
According to official sources, the two soldiers were part of an operational team conducting a routine patrol in the high-altitude forests near the Pahalgam sector on Sunday evening. Communication with the duo was lost shortly after they entered a remote and heavily forested area.
